Yeah, using the virtual makes me want the hardware even more lol.

I haven't had a chance to play with the hardware yet, or Maschine.

But off top, I will say, Beat Thang does NOT need the computer to operate, whereas Maschine can't operate without the computer. The draw for me, is that I can start a track in the beat thang virtual, using the hardware as a controller, then I can move the track to the hardware and take it with me, add or finish it in the hardware, or bring it back into the software.

Plus, anything I'm doing in the virtual now, will work when I get the hardware.

This is going to change a lot of things for producers.

I don't know if you can customize the leds, I know you can customize the paint/body and "grill"

Seeing your use of the virt.version makes me even more interested for the hardware unit. Any input on how it may compare to NI's Maschine? It's going to be an interesting year indeed once NI fully implements midi-out, etc.
From the youtube vids I've seen 2mos. ago the harware unit's cosmetics can be customized, I wonder if you can do that w/ the leds as well for a nice tricked out kit (I'm thinking of the old movie Tron).
