Well I’m sure you know by now that the beat thang virtual has been updated to version 1.5
One of the main things I noticed in the update was the fix to the windows bug that wouldn’t let you delete single sounds.
It would just mute the pad when you did it. Now if you hit ctrl+shift and the pad you want to delete, it will take it out.
So if you mess up on ya hats, or your kick or that sample chop, you can just erase it without having to redo your whole track.
I made a quick video showing you how it’s done.
let me know what ya think.

I know a lot of you want to see this feature, as do I.
It’s a quick way of working in beat thang or any software/hardware.
Us mpc users are definitely used to it.
But, in this video I show you a workaround that pretty much gives us what we want
It’s not totally seamless, but it’s better than we thought actually and I think you’ll like it.
It’s called quick kit mode, so check it out and let me know what you think.
Please leave me comments and share this stuff….the Beat Kangz are watching this site so the more we get folks involved, the more input and influence we’ll have on the product.
let me know!

this is a quick video showing the filter options inside beat thang virtual
a few peeps were asking about it, I couldn’t remember while I was at work so I just made this video when I got home
pretty flexible system, filter on each track and a basic cutoff filter with res on each sample/pad layer… that’s 16 layers per pad…
what you think?

Been playing around with beat thang virtual a bit more, learning more and more about it.
Today I’m just putting up this short video that shows you how to create instruments.
This is different than how to create kits in beat thang , this is for creating instruments that you can play across the keys.
Despite how it sounds, it’s very easy, I built a bunch of instruments from some samples I had created when I had my hardware synths.
let me know what you think

Many people want to know if the Beat Thang is only suited for hip hop tracks.
In this video, I used some of the internal sounds to put together an rnb style track.
This just shows the range of the beat thang soundbank.
let me know what you think.
