Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to get any video.

We were scheduled to hook back up the next day to get some video but it didn’t work out, both myself and the beat kangz had a full schedule at NAMM.

All I did was take this one photo in passing as we were chatting lol.

It’s real, they’ve updated the build quality to all metal, making the machine pretty sturdy.

Fear not, I will have plenty of videos for you when I get the thang in my hands….

Luckily for us Peter Kirn from createdigitalmusic.com did get some video of it, so check it out, and lemme know what you think.

I’m goin out to NAMM this year, Jan 14-17, so you know I’ll be looking around to see if I can catch a peek at the beat thang.

I keep askin them about it, I just get told to “wait till namm” lol.

Well I’m tired of waitin! I been waiting since last namm when I first heard about the thang!

But it’s all good, if it is finally ready, then I’m ready to test it.  The software is cool, but I think it’s the hardware that really is going to change things.

I don’t even know what it looks like! That’s an old pic on the left, they said it now has metal parts and is built very solid….we’ll see.

The thought of taking a beat machine with me anywhere, and running on battery power is crazy.

Let’s hope I get a chance to grab some exclusive video of it! Keep it locked, as I’ll try to get the info as soon as possible and post it up

He had been talking about a huge beat battle they were planning, but I couldn’t get any info about the details until now.

It’s official!

I just got it in the mail yesterday, so I did a video of me opening it and showing what’s in the box.

So far, I’m impressed by the presentation of the product, I’m a sucker for good packaging/presentation and the Beat Kangz did not dissapoint with the Beat Thang Virtual packaging.

Comes on a slick little Beat Kangz branded usb drive, and also includes some documentation.

No manual in there, just install notes. Manual should be available for download soon.

Stay tuned for the video of the product installation and my first time opening the software.

This is just a video I created for SoundsAndGear.com talking about why I started this site and what it’s for.

Basically, I’m just a consumer like you, who is excited about this new product, so much so, that I created a site dedicated to it.

I plan to make it the unofficial-official hub of beat kangz beat thang info.

This is the consumer side of things, not the company side.

We love and support their site and company, I just wanted a place to gather all the info I could on this thang.

This is another video from winter namm 2009 of the beat kangz playing with the beat thang in their suite.  These are some of the “infamous” videos in which people stated they had problems with their marketing strategies…. (looks like a bunch of dudes having fun to me, no problem in that)

I really don’t care, the specs of the unit look dope and the guys look like they’re having fun with the whole thing. I may not have marketed my own product like them, but guess what? I am not them! I don’t have my own product! And I’m not them…THEY DO AND THEY ARE DOING IT!

Everyone has different personalities and they are just putting theirs out there.

It really doesn’t matter when you look at the big picture. I love what they are doing and I want to see them come out on top.

From my talks with Aja the president, I can definitely say these THANGZ are not a game at all.
