How to delete individual notes in beat thang virtual

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Well I’m sure you know by now that the beat thang virtual has been updated to version 1.5

One of the main things I noticed in the update was the fix to the windows bug that wouldn’t let you delete single sounds.

It would just mute the pad when you did it. Now if you hit ctrl+shift and the pad you want to delete, it will take it out.

So if you mess up on ya hats, or your kick or that sample chop, you can just erase it without having to redo your whole track.

I made a quick video showing you how it’s done.

let me know what ya think.

yes, you just hold the key down when you want it to erase instead of holding it the whole time

    whas good bro.

the easiest way would be to copy the pattern and then add your changes to the copy.

    saintjoe Reply:

you have to duplicate that pattern, then it will be pattern name-copy1 and then you can save it as whatever name you want

make sure you change the root midi note in system settings, some midi controllers don’t cover the whole 88 key range like the btv does

How do I edit patterns to create a song? For instance, in one of the Factory tracks, I would like to MUTE track 1 and save that pattern as the verse. Is there a way to do this without deleting pattern one?

    [Reply]

    saintjoe Reply:

duplicate the pattern you want to change, then make your changes and save it as whatever you want. then you can string them together in song mode.
